What is a good fat and the bad fat


We keep hearing about good fats and bad fats, but our we actually can tell the difference or do we know how to compare it?

Fat is type of nutrient like carbohydrates and protein, your body needs fat for energy, to absorb vitamins and protect your heart and brain health. For years we been told that fat will add some inches to our waistline raise cholesterol and will cause health problems. But now we know that not all fats is the same.

Bad fats such as artificial fats are unhealthy, but good fats such unsaturated fats and omega-3s have the opposite effect. In fact, healthy fats play a huge role in helping you manage your moods, energy levels, fight fatigue and control your weight.


So where can we find the good fat:

  • Olive, canola, sesame, peanut oils

  • Avocados and olives

  • Nuts (almonds, peanuts, walnuts, macadamia, hazelnuts, pecans, cashews, walnuts)

  • Peanut butter

  • Sunflower, sesame, pumping seeds

  • Flaxseeds

  • Fatty fist (salmon, tuna, mackerel, sardines, trout)

  • Tofu

Unhealthy fats

  • Commercially -baked pastries, cookies, doughnuts, muffins, cakes

  • Packaged snacks ( crisps, chips, popcorn)

  • All fried foods

  • Anything that contains vegetable oil.

So let's take care of ourselves, pay more attention what we eat, what we put in our mouth as our health it always takes our priority. Make smart decisions when you choosing your food or ingredients.
